Job Responsibilities
The Technical Paralegal - eDiscovery at the company is responsible for supporting the legal team in managing electronic discovery processes, litigation support databases, and case-related data management. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with managing the eDiscovery lifecycle, which involves data collection, processing, review, and production.
- Supporting legal teams in organizing and maintaining eDiscovery workflows and document review processes.
- Coordinating with attorneys, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely data processing.
- Maintaining and updating litigation support databases such as Relativity, Casepoint, or Everlaw.
- Ensuring proper tagging, indexing, and organization of case-related data.
- Supporting quality control efforts by ensuring accuracy and completeness of electronic document productions.
- Assisting in implementing predictive coding and Technology-Assisted Review (TAR) workflows to streamline document review.
- Conducting basic legal research and case analysis using litigation support tools.
- Preparing exhibits, legal holds, and discovery materials for attorneys.
- Assisting in drafting legal hold notices and tracking custodian compliance.
- Supporting attorneys and legal teams in trial preparation and document management.
Education and Experience Information
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Information Technology, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in eDiscovery, legal technology, or litigation support is necessary.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, Casepoint, Everlaw, Nuix, Brainspace is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Excel, and litigation support databases is required.
- A basic understanding of AI-driven review tools and workflow automation is beneficial.
- Understanding of eDiscovery processes, legal holds, and FRCP compliance is necessary.
- Ability to assist attorneys in legal research and document organization is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Preferred qualifications include Relativity Certified User (RCU) or other eDiscovery-related certifications and experience supporting regulatory investigations or government inquiries.
Salary Information
The base pay range for the Technical Paralegal - eDiscovery position is between and per hour. In addition, there is a corporate bonus target of 10%. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
