Job Title:
Systemic/Impact Litigation Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
The Systemic/Impact Litigation Paralegal will provide essential legal support to attorneys and legal professionals within the organization. Key responsibilities include:

- Demonstrating humility and sensitivity while working with colleagues and clients from diverse backgrounds, including differences in race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, immigrant status, religious identity, physical and mental disabilities, and/or limited English proficiency.
- Exhibiting excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients, opposing counsel, judicial personnel, and other staff.
- Offering legal advice under the supervision of an attorney.
- Interviewing and counseling clients.
- Providing limited service to clients and interfacing with outside counsel, internal clients, and customers.
- Assisting with research, obtaining, and reviewing records.
- Preparing and editing legal forms, documents, and pleadings such as briefs, motions, and discovery requests.
- Preparing Excel reports and PowerPoint presentations.
- Organizing and maintaining case files in a virtual format.
- Calendaring and scheduling court hearings, deadlines, and meetings.
- Assisting with trial preparation, including witness lists, exhibits, and trial binders.
- Collaborating effectively as part of a team, including attorneys, support staff, volunteers, and students.
- Conducting case investigations.
- Participating in clinics and community outreach projects.
- Creating and maintaining new matters in the case management system.
- Performing other related duties as required.

Education and Experience:
Candidates should possess one of the following educational qualifications:

- A four-year college degree.
- A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited school.

Additionally, candidates should have:

- At least one year of relevant legal experience.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and legal document management.
- Understanding of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Accurate typing skills with the ability to type 60 words per minute.
- Previous calendaring experience.
- Flexibility to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters arise.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Proficiency in English, with Spanish language skills being an advantage.

Salary Information:
The compensation for the Systemic/Impact Litigation Paralegal position ranges from to per hour, depending on the candidate's experience.
