Job Title: Mass Tort Litigation Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with all aspects of case management in complex mass tort matters, including intake, the discovery process, tracking and communicating case-related dates/deadlines and information, and trial preparation.
- Maintain and coordinate databases and case files utilizing in-house and third-party litigation support platforms.
- Coordinate and track document productions, medical record retrievals, and case deadlines.
- Review and organize deposition transcripts and discovery materials.
- Support attorneys with deposition and court event preparation, including historical research, exhibits, and trial binders.

Education and Experience Information:
- A bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited college or university is required.
- Prior paralegal experience in a litigation environment, including experience with claim intake and case management, is highly desired.
- Experience with mass tort, product liability, or complex litigation is a plus.
- Candidates must be detail-oriented, motivated, creative, and capable of managing multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines in a demanding, but rewarding, environment.
- A strong team player with the ability to work on independent projects is essential.
- The ability to adapt to change, work independently with minimal supervision, and work under strict deadlines is required.
- Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent client service and effectively interacting with clients as well as staff at all levels.
- Familiarity with court rules and e-filing procedures in both state and federal courts is necessary.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- A paralegal certificate obtained through a paralegal studies program approved by the ABA, or from an accredited college or university, is not mandatory but welcomed.
- Positions in California require one of the following per California legislation (AB 1761):
- A certificate of completion from a paralegal program approved by the ABA.
- One full year of law-related work experience under the supervision of a licensed attorney who has been a member of the State Bar of California for at least the three preceding years and who has signed a written declaration that the candidate is qualified to perform paralegal tasks.
- A certificate of completion from a paralegal program at, or a degree from, a postsecondary institution that requires the successful completion of a minimum of 24 semester, or equivalent, units in law-related courses.

- The base salary wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position will also include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans and policies then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in: a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, life, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, business travel accident insurance plans, and health savings and flexible spending accounts for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans and policies then in effect, eligible employees may utilize the Employee Assistance Program, Work/Life Services, HealthAdvocate, Bright Horizons Back-Up Child Care, and WageWorks Commuter Benefits for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Employees will also receive: 9 paid holidays per calendar year, 2 personal days per year, and up to 20 days of vacation per year. In accordance with state applicable law, eligible employees will earn 1 paid sick leave hour for 30 hours worked. Eligible employees may also take up to five days off for bereavement leave, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave per year and up to 10 weeks of paid pregnancy disability leave per pregnancy. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
