Contract ERISA/Employee Benefits Attorney (Remote) - DWTSurge Program

**Members Only**, a top 100 national law firm, is seeking an experienced attorney to join our Employment Services Group through our alternative-track contract attorney program, DWTSurge. This is a contract role with the opportunity to work remotely, providing flexibility for attorneys seeking a more balanced work-life schedule. If you are a highly skilled ERISA/employee benefits attorney with experience in mid-large size law firms or in-house with large institutional clients, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

DWTSurge Program:

- Alternative-track contract attorney program
- Provides flexible work arrangements for attorneys
- Allows for remote work with part-time hours
- Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension
- Exclusive working relationship with DWT

Position Details:

- Research and analyze employee benefit plans for ERISA compliance
- Prepare benefit plan summaries and notifications for plan participants
- Analyze stock option plans and draft motions and legal research on ERISA fiduciary issues
- Conduct benefits-related due diligence for corporate transactions
- Manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, other attorneys, and support staff
- Work independently and exercise sound judgment

Requirements:

- 4+ years of ERISA/employee benefits/executive compensation experience
- Active bar admission in state of residence and a state in which DWT maintains an office
- Experience with ERISA and Tax Code compliance requirements
- Strong skills in multi-jurisdictional research, analysis, and legal writing
- Demonstrated experience with large national corporate employers preferred
- Availability to work remotely for 20+ hours/week with potential for fluctuation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation:

- Hourly or monthly salary basis, based on experience and skill level
- Hourly compensation range is $120-135/hour in select states
