Job Title: Senior Claims Professional
Job Responsibilities:
- Investigate claims and develop resolution strategies, which may involve risk transfer, mediation, and managing litigation.
- Analyze policy language to assess coverage obligations and prepare written coverage determinations, in partnership with coverage counsel as needed.
- Set and manage appropriate reserves by considering coverage, liability, and damages.
- Oversee and coordinate litigation efforts by hiring defense counsel and required experts, and reviewing draft pleadings, litigation plans, budgets, and invoices.
- Maintain electronic claim files by documenting contacts, communications, and claim transactions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by managing all aspects of claims and interacting professionally with insureds, claimants, and business partners.
- Provide timely updates and respond promptly to inquiries and requests for information.
- Facilitate claims closure and proactive claim handling by collaborating with internal and external business partners to develop and execute a claim resolution strategy.
- Inform leadership of significant risks and losses by projecting exposure and completing loss summaries and similar reports.
- Prepare and present claim status and evaluations to leadership.
- Maintain subject matter expertise and ensure compliance with state/local regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports for management, clients, and other designated recipients, requiring strong writing skills.
- Potentially represent the organization in mediations, court proceedings, and other situations, with some travel required.
Education and Experience Information:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in insurance or equivalent roles
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this role is $79,500 to $97,000 per year.
- This position is also eligible for a bonus.
