Senior Paralegal, Intellectual Property - Full Time Role in Northbrook, Illinois

**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking an experienced, self-motivated and skilled Senior Paralegal to join their team of dynamic attorneys and legal professionals. This position will report to the Assistant General Counsel and serve as a trusted advisor on intellectual property law issues across the company.

Responsibilities:

- Screen, search, analyze, and clear proposed trademarks using publicly available databases
- Coordinate non-domestic trademark clearance searches with outside counsel
- Prepare trademark applications and respond to office actions
- Manage trademark portfolio and track deadlines and status across all business units
- Conduct global trademark due diligence searches for potential M&A deals
- Correspond and coordinate patent filings with outside patent counsel
- Manage and instruct outside vendor on patent annuities globally
- Correspond with business units regarding corporate intellectual property policies and processes
- Liaise with outside counsel and business units
- Provide general litigation support
- Perform file management for intellectual property matters

Qualifications:

- 7-10 years of trademark experience at a law firm or corporate legal department
- Experience with DiamsIQ docketing software or equivalent IP docketing program
- Knowledge of worldwide trademark processes and procedures
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and precise written work product
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy with confidential matters
- Self-starter attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Desire to learn new technology and legal skills
