Unified Communications Engineer
Job Responsibilities
The Unified Communications Engineer is responsible for the daily review and resolution of user and system issues to maintain optimal operations. This role requires the individual to have specialized experience in Zoom platform management, Power BI dashboarding and analytics, and AudioCodes voice infrastructure. The engineer must bridge Unified Communications (UC) technologies with meaningful insights to improve user experience and drive adoption. The role involves exposure to new technologies and industry trends, and requires cross-training opportunities across different technology areas to expand skills. The position promotes a healthy work-life balance while ensuring professional growth and personal well-being.
Education and Experience Information
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Unified Communications, with direct Zoom enterprise administration
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- Hands-on experience with AudioCodes SBCs and voice gateways
- Strong troubleshooting skills in VoIP, video conferencing, SIP, and UC-related networking
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex UC and telephony issues
- Windows and Linux/Unix OS proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with UC monitoring tools (., Zoom Quality Dashboard, Zoom Quality of Service, Palo Alto ADEM)
- Experience integrating Zoom with other platforms (., Teams, ServiceNow, CRM tools)
- Scripting experience (., PowerShell, Python) for automation
Education
Required: High School or equivalent
Preferred: College
License and Certification
Preferred: AudioCodes ACA/ACP
Work Environment
The current policy is hybrid, requiring work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week and working from home the rest of the week, subject to change. Overtime may be required as job duties demand.
Travel Requirements
Travel to data centers and offices as required.
Salary Information
California: The pay range for this position is to per hour.
Washington .: The pay range for this position is to per hour. Medical, vision, and dental coverage is available, including coverage for dependents and domestic partners. The compensation and benefit information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position as of the time of this posting and is provided pursuant to the District of Columbia Wage Transparency Omnibus Amendment Act of 2023.
