Business Development Manager - FDA & Healthcare and Life Sciences

Job Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager at the law firm is tasked with supporting the FDA & Healthcare practice and the Life Sciences industry team. Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and executing business development strategies in alignment with the firm's goals for the FDA & Healthcare practice and Life Sciences industry team.
- Collaborating with lawyers and staff across practices and departments to drive client-centric business development strategies.
- Understanding the competitive landscape and working with practice group and industry team leaders to develop and implement business development goals.
- Building and maintaining client relationships and developing strategies to expand the firm's client base and revenue.
- Managing strategic investments, budget, and data-driven insights to ensure competitiveness and adaptability in the legal industry.
- Analyzing trends and complex business problems, partnering with senior leaders to drive implementation, and developing solutions for successful initiatives.
- Framing and analyzing business trends, facilitating communication processes, and developing pragmatic solutions.
- Preparing and managing implementation plans, reviewing progress, and recommending adjustments.
- Identifying clients for increased revenue generation and cross-collaboration opportunities.
- Collaborating on pitches, proposals, and client-facing events to drive business generation.
- Working with the marketing team on campaigns, content creation, and firm-sponsored events.
- Attending industry conferences and networking events to promote the firm.
- Managing internal data related to clients, capabilities, services, and profitability.
- Preparing reports for firm management on key metrics and strategic priorities.
- Collaborating with various departments like Marketing & Communications, Practice Operations, and Business Intelligence for consistent efforts across the firm.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Business Development Manager position must have:

- A minimum of seven years of business, client, and practice development experience in a law firm or similar professional services environment.
- Proven strategic planning and execution expertise.
- A thorough understanding of the legal competitive landscape for major global law firms.
- Experience in the Life Sciences and/or Healthcare industries.
- Ability to excel in a matrixed work environment with global teams and multiple business units.
- Demonstrated capacity to develop and implement strategic business development plans and present them to senior management.
- Superior client service orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative work style.

Salary Information:
For positions in Washington ., the salary range for this position is $114, to $182,.
