Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will be assisting attorneys with the preparation, filing and service of pleadings. Acting as liaison among clients and attorneys, court personnel, opposing counsels and others for scheduling and sharing information. Organizing and managing documents, including the creation of spreadsheets. Coordinating the collection, review and production of documents and responding to discovery requests. Assisting with mediation, hearing and trial preparation including witness and exhibit lists, assembly of exhibit binders, subpoenas, depositions and other court filings. Summarizing depositions, transcripts and exhibits. Researching case-related factual issues using in-house files and outside reference sources. Should have an excellent organizational skills. Attention to detail. Legal research and investigation skills. Ability to follow direction and processes/procedures. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize workload and assignments. Must have 2-3 years of significant and substantive litigation experience as a paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm setting. Family law experience is preferred. Experience drafting and correcting legal documents. Experience managing medium to large-scale document productions.
