Position Summary:

The Litigation Paralegal at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. will manage a caseload of 50-75 cases, assisting attorneys with drafting demand letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses. This position requires detailed auditing of cases, including medical bills, case expenses, and subrogation liens, and ensuring accurate case data management in FileVine. The paralegal will also assist in trial preparation, communicate with clients and external parties, and maintain professional standards of appearance and conduct. Experience with trucking litigation is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively manage a case load of 50-75 cases
Accurately draft demand letters, pleadings, discovery and various motions
Continually communicate with clients, counsel, experts, and courts
Audit cases for all expenses (medical bills, case expenses, LOP providers, subrogation liens)
Accurately maintain case management data in FileVine (case management database)
Prepare trial documents and assist with trial preparation
Proficient in personal injury law involving motor vehicle collisions
Proficient in preparing discovery responses
Detail oriented with a focus on grammar and language arts
Professional appearance and behavior
Working knowledge of common deadlines and protocols of personal injury litigation
Trucking experience preferred
Qualifications:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills on the phone, in person and email
Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and critical thinking abilities
College degree or comparable paralegal certification and experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience required in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm, 5+ years' experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Case Management software (File Vine preferred)
Physical Requirements:
Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
Stand/Sit – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
Walk – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc.
Use of hands/fingers to handle or feel – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
Climbs stairs – May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
Carry weight/lift - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
