Job Title: Supervisor of Unclaimed Property (Accountant/Auditor)

Job Responsibilities:
The Supervisor of Unclaimed Property at the law firm will join a collaborative and expanding team of accountants and attorneys dedicated to unclaimed property matters. The primary responsibilities include managing unclaimed property issues and reviewing voluntary disclosures submitted by companies. The Supervisor will engage with various stakeholders, including clients, unclaimed property administrators, professionally adverse parties, and opposing attorneys and accountants, to conduct efficient and effective unclaimed property reviews and negotiate resolutions. The position involves:

- Performing tasks and managing deadlines related to unclaimed property matters
- Analyzing and reconciling accounting records and deliverables
- Investigating transactions and histories to determine if they represent unclaimed property
- Preparing calculations of unclaimed property liability and statistical sampling
- Supporting the delivery of effective presentations to clients and adverse parties
- Preparing professional, client-ready reports
- Researching company financial information and unclaimed property issues
- Analyzing unclaimed property reports filed with states
- Applying unclaimed property law and regulations to company facts and accounting transactions
- Investigating entity corporate structures and histories
- Drafting responses to inquiries and requests from opposing parties
- Developing and enhancing expertise in unclaimed property matters
- Performing other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for this position should possess 0-3 years of accounting or audit experience, with prior experience in unclaimed property being preferred.
