Job Title: . Docketing Agent
Job Responsibilities:
- Process incoming and outgoing documents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
- Review correspondence to determine if dates need to be docketed, updated, or closed.
- Provide quality control for outgoing Patent, Trademark, and Copyright correspondence.
- Add and update matters in the docketing system as required.
- Ensure incoming correspondence is processed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Perform updates and audit trail checks of incoming and outgoing correspondence processed by peers.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Education and Experience Information:
- Previous clerical and data entry experience with a high attention to detail is required.
- Previous docketing or legal experience is desirable.
- Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective writing skills, with excellent proofreading, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to constantly changing procedures and rules.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Must meet minimum testing requirements.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
Salary Information:
- Base salary ranges from $55,000 to $95,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Additional Information:
- Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:30 . to 6:30 .
- A remote option is available once training is completed.
- The position requires close collaboration with attorneys and staff during scheduled hours.
- The position requires the ability to work overtime, which often cannot be predicted in advance.
