Law Firm Seeks Experienced Legal Assistant in Charleston
Are you an experienced legal assistant looking for a new opportunity in civil litigation? WSHB, a leading law firm with an office in Charleston, South Carolina, is currently seeking a skilled and qualified legal assistant to join our team. This is a hybrid position that will require you to work in our office, so you must live in the greater Charleston area to be considered.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a legal assistant role, specifically in personal injury, construction defect, and insurance defense. They should also have a strong understanding of e-filing procedures in both state and federal court in South Carolina, as well as knowledge of civil and arbitration procedures.
Responsibilities for this position include maintaining attorneys' calendars, communicating with outside law firms, proofing and finalizing legal documents, managing deadlines, and assisting with trial preparation. This role will also require heavy document management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work independently.
To be successful in this role, candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team. They should also have strong organizational and time management skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and iManage document file system.
