Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Paralegal at the law firm will work closely with attorneys to assist with ongoing cases and trial preparations. Key responsibilities include performing paralegal, clerical, and data entry duties, maintaining the attorney's calendar, and scheduling depositions, pre-depositions, meetings, mediations, and hearings. The role requires proficient document management using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe, as well as e-filing legal documents in Pennsylvania’s E-Portal System. The paralegal must be knowledgeable in the filing requirements and procedures for Philadelphia and surrounding counties, including initial filings, reinstatements, motions, petitions, and praecipes. Additionally, the paralegal will assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences, draft legal court documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas, and send out correspondence to parties/non-parties via email, regular mail, or certified mail. Communication with clients and setting up Court Calls or Zoom for hearings are also part of the responsibilities. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.

Education and Experience Information:
Applicants for the Litigation Paralegal position must have 1 to 3 years of litigation experience. Experience with e-filing in both state and federal courts is preferred. Candidates should be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and possess the ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills with clients and co-workers are essential. The role requires excellent organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and the capability to prioritize workload. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred, and a teamwork-oriented mindset is important.
