Paralegal The candidate will conduct research to support legal proceedings. Obtain records and work with experts in all areas of litigation. Review and summarize medical records. Draft correspondence, pleadings and discovery. Service of pleadings and discovery. Prepare, execute and download court filings including electronic filings. Assist in preparing cases for trial. Maintain litigation docket and calendar, noting deadline dates for responsive pleadings/motions, court appearances, and other important deadlines. Billing for time. College Degree is required. Should have 2-3 years of prior civil defense litigation experience in a Paralegal role; preferably in the areas of Product Liability/Medical Malpractice/Toxic Torts/Asbestos. Demonstrated attention to detail is needed. Should have the ability to prioritize and multitask. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
