Paralegal and Office Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Office Management Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day administrative operations and ensure office efficiency
- Manage HR
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable; coordinate with outside accountant
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Support onboarding and offboarding of staff
- Ensure adherence to firm policies and procedures
Paralegal Duties:
- Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents including pleadings, basic motions, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research
- E-file documents with state and federal courts (e-Portal, PACER)
- Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines
- Liaise with clients, bar counsel, and court officials
- Provide litigation and administrative support to attorneys
Education and Experience Information:
- At least 3 years of experience in a law firm environment; experience in both office management and paralegal roles strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and WestLaw
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Familiarity with court procedures and electronic filing systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field
- Background in HR or bookkeeping
Salary Information:
- Compensation: $60,000 to $75,000 per year
