Paralegal The candidate will conduct pre-claim investigations, legal research and initial case assessments. Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with the court. Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc.). Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices. Assist attorneys with all aspects of discovery. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties. Help with voir dire, jury selection and witness preparation. Provide assistance with case settlements. Renew and maintain company licensing. Draft, file and manage various business entity documents for corporations, LLCs and partnerships with State agencies. Create organizational documents, including articles of incorporation or dissolution, stock certificates and merger agreements. Draft contracts, such as employment contracts and non-compete agreements. Create and distribute annual reports. Assist with paperwork needed by regulatory bodies. Respond to Requests for Information. Assist with ethics and compliance programs. Perform legal research. Associate's or Bachelor degree is required, preferably in the Paralegal field, or Bachelor's degree with ABA Approved Paralegal certificate. Proven working experience as a Litigation and/or Corporate Paralegal is required.
