In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and acting upon conflicts reports regarding incoming lateral candidates to the law firm. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $95,000 per year.

About the Role
As an OGC Analyst – Conflicts, Laterals, you will play a crucial role in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) team at Latham & Watkins. In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing conflicts reports for incoming lateral candidates, including partners, counsel, associates, trainees, staff, and potentially portable new client business. This role is available in our Boston, New York, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, or Washington, . office and offers a flexible and hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
As part of the OGC team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Administering conflicts reviews for all lateral attorney candidates, including assisting with the completion of conflicts questionnaires
- Obtaining guidance from attorneys or other Conflicts staff to properly evaluate conflicts checks in different geographical jurisdictions
- Analyzing conflicts reports and communicating follow-up questions to attorneys or suggesting Ethics Committee action
- Preparing summaries of conflicts report analysis and reporting conflicts resolution to sponsoring attorneys and recruiting departments
- Working with OGC leadership to prioritize work and follow guidance from supervisors and managers
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information related to the law firm
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to develop alternative strategies
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, management, and support staff
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
You should also have:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum of four years)
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services firm
- Experience with Intapp Open software (preferred)
