Job Title: Real Estate Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
- Draft closing transaction documents including deeds, transfer forms, bills of sale, closing statements, and any other necessary documents for closing commercial real estate transactions.
- Prepare Real Estate Purchase Agreements based on the terms outlined in letters of intent.
- Review titles, surveys, and other due diligence materials to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Draft lease-related documents such as memoranda of lease, lease amendments, estoppel certificates, and subordination and non-disturbance agreements.
- Review and summarize lease documents for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze purchase contracts to ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies.
- Create and maintain detailed checklists to track all aspects of transactions from inception through closing, including maintaining a calendar and tracking critical dates.
- Handle post-closing matters to ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Conduct survey reviews on development/split-funded deals and update title policies as needed.
- Correspond and communicate effectively with buyer’s counsel, brokers, and title companies to facilitate transactions.
- Serve as a communication liaison internally and externally on behalf of the Legal department.
- Organize and maintain closing files to ensure all documentation is accessible and up-to-date.
- Communicate with the development/leasing department regarding disposition files.
- Assist the asset management department in responding to requests from tenants (such as estoppels and SNDAs) and from adjacent landowners.
- Draft high-quality correspondence to outside counsel, tenants, and third parties as required.
- Perform or assist with any operations necessary to maintain workflow and meet schedules and quality requirements.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
- An Associate's degree with a paralegal certificate is acceptable.
- Zero to two years of related experience is required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- A Paralegal Certificate is highly preferred.
