Job Title: Information Governance Matter Mobility Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

The Information Governance Matter Mobility Analyst at the law firm will play a crucial role in supporting all aspects of the firm's matter mobility program under the direction of the Director of Information Governance. The key responsibilities include:

- Implementing firm policies and procedures concerning the matter mobility process.
- Maintaining a thorough working knowledge of the technology systems used by the Information Governance (IG) department and their functionalities.
- Serving as the initial point of contact for lateral attorney arrivals and departures, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Communicating effectively with incoming and departing attorneys, clients, and outside counsel regarding the matter mobility process.
- Acting as an internal resource to address any questions related to the matter mobility process.
- Analyzing incoming Electronically Stored Information (ESI) related to matter mobility, ensuring receipt confirmation, identifying suitable repositories for storage, and facilitating data import.
- Performing internal reviews of records before their transfer out of the firm.
- Coordinating with other IG team members and staff to facilitate the transfer of physical records and their integration into the firm's records management system.
- Engaging in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:

The position requires the following education and experience qualifications:

- 3-4 years of experience in a law firm or other records management environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, although certification(s) in a relevant field may also be considered.
- The ability to work proactively with attorneys and staff at all levels across the firm is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Candidates must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a desire to take ownership as a contributing team member.
- The ability to balance competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment is crucial, along with exercising patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
- Candidates must be capable of lifting and/or transporting materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Some overtime and travel may be required, with travel expenses paid by the firm.
