Duane Morris LLP is seeking an IP Docketing Specialist to join our team and support our Intellectual Property Practice Group. In this role, you will be responsible for providing docketing support to various teams within our IP practice group. This includes calendaring important dates for patent and trademark applications, downloading and filing electronic correspondence, preparing docket reports, and proactively monitoring deadlines. You will also assist with intakes and transfers for new clients and attorney hires, participate in team meetings, and provide back-up support as needed.
We are looking for candidates with a high school diploma and at least 3 years of prior IP docketing or related work experience. You should have a thorough understanding of domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution and lifecycles, as well as knowledge of docketing terminology, best practices, and patent & trademark laws. Experience with docketing databases and navigating patent and trademark office websites is also required. Strong computer skills, attention to detail, time management skills, problem-solving mindset, and a collaborative spirit are essential for success in this role.
