ATL - Paralegals The candidate will format briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents. Filing legal documents (e-filling skills are preferred). Corresponding with clients. Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments. Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court. Prepare privilege logs. Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.). Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties. Provide assistance with case settlements and prepare exhibits for motions. A High School diploma is required. Prior litigation experience is preferred. A paralegal associate's degree or other relevant certification is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work successfully with multiple team members, interacting with employees at all levels of the organization. Should be competent to handle a variety of activities with attention to detail and quality, with the ability to follow through and follow up, and adapt to quickly meet changing deadlines and priorities. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Should have the ability to complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work on short deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks with limited supervision. Retain a high level of flexibility and resourceful problem-solving. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. Should have the ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
