Job Title: Corporate Paralegal Job Responsibilities: - Handle projects and court filings for lawyers at the law firm. - Conduct statutory, case law, and fact research under lawyer supervision. - Summarize depositions, prepare witness binders, and manage deposition exhibits. - Proofread documents, cite check, shepardize, and apply "bluebook" citations. - Draft and/or review legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and factual memoranda under lawyer supervision. - Conduct file searches and assist with document review and production of electronic and hard copy documents. - Assemble and organize factual materials for depositions, trials, and hearings; manage trial exhibits. - Review and organize documents for filing with state or federal courts and government or administrative agencies; conduct filings. - Provide support to other practice areas, including corporate and health regulatory, and office locations. - Assist with law firm administrative projects. Education and Experience Information: - Required: Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies; Preferred: Bachelor's degree. - Required: 2-4 years of paralegal experience. Skills Required: - Understanding of legal concepts, terminology, principles, and procedures; knowledge of legal reference materials. - Excellent organization, administrative, and communication skills (oral and written). - High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and self-motivation. - Knowledge of state and federal rules. - Ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Flexibility for overtime. Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Salary Information: - Expected salary range: $90,000-$118,000. - Offers are typically not made at or near the top of the range. - Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications. - Market and law firm factors are also considered. - In addition to the base salary, a generous employee benefits package and eligibility for a discretionary bonus are included.
