Job Title: Privacy and Compliance Analyst (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the law firm's data protection initiatives and processes.
- Conduct various risk assessments including client risk assessments, data protection impact assessments, and artificial intelligence assessments.
- Conduct investigations, inquiries, and remediation efforts related to privacy and compliance.
- Provide analysis and support for initiatives such as privacy by design, data minimization, and continuous improvement of access management and controls.
- Develop and assist with corrective action plans to address privacy and compliance issues.
- Monitor and audit processes involving personal information to ensure compliance.
- Resolve internal audit findings and align operational processes with compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain procedural documentation for firm processes and initiatives.
- Participate in data protection controls strategy and administer privacy and security controls in support of regulatory and federal government requirements.
- Serve as a privacy and compliance resource to cross-functional teams and workgroups.
- Assist with administrative and operational functions of the privacy and compliance program.
- Undertake special projects and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2-4 years of professional compliance experience, with familiarity in privacy and data protection.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, internal attorneys, cross-functional teams, leaders, and subject matter experts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Preferred experience includes knowledge or understanding of data protection principles, GRC experience, understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Privacy, law firm experience, and industry-standard certifications such as CCEP, CIPP, CIPM, or similar.
Salary Information:
- The position may be filled in Washington, Illinois, District of Columbia, New York, Colorado, or California. The base salary ranges for these locations are as follows:
- Washington: $74,000 - $112,000 per year
- Illinois: $74,000 - $112,000 per year
- District of Columbia: $81,000 - $122,000 per year
- New York City: $81,000 - $122,000 per year
- Colorado: $68,000 - $102,000 per year
- California: $81,000 - $122,000 per year
