Job Title: Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Legal Assistant include providing support in a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy environment. The candidate will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the Federal court system and be able to effectively manage various tasks within this framework. Key duties involve working in a paperless office setting, requiring proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. The role demands a high level of detail orientation, exceptional organizational skills, and strong analytical capabilities. The Legal Assistant must be adept at prioritizing tasks, multi-tasking, and performing effectively in a deadline-driven environment. Building successful working relationships with the public, attorneys, and government agencies is crucial. The candidate should demonstrate initiative in taking on additional duties and responsibilities as they arise.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates are required to have 1-2 years of prior Chapter 13 Bankruptcy experience and knowledge of working with the Federal court system. A minimum of 2 years of office experience is also necessary. The candidate should be a quick learner with strong analytical skills, self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work well independently while meeting strict timelines.

Salary Information:
The salary for the Legal Assistant position ranges from $60,000 to $65,000 per year, dependent on experience. The compensation package includes employer-paid medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, paid federal holidays, an employer-funded SEP IRA retirement plan, life insurance, and paid parking.

Additional Information:
The position is full-time, with an 8-hour day shift from Monday to Friday. After completing a six-month probationary period and once fully trained, the position will transition to a hybrid work model. Candidates must be able to pass background and credit checks.
