Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Assistant at the law firm will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys by providing administrative and clerical assistance, specifically in the field of Family Law. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the law office calendar, which involves scheduling and monitoring deadlines.
- Assisting with screening and directing incoming calls.
- Communicating with potential new clients.
- Ensuring timely and accurate updates of client systems.
- Professionally and effectively communicating with clients, law offices, and courts, both verbally and electronically.
- Creating, organizing, and maintaining files, both in hard copy and electronic formats.
- Making copies, scanning documents, and preparing outgoing mail packages.
- Formatting and processing key legal documents.
- Filing documents on JEDS (Judiciary Electronic Document Submission).
- Assisting with general office duties such as ordering office and kitchen supplies and dealing with building management.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of legal administrative assistant experience as a Family Law legal assistant is required.
- A college degree is preferred, although not mandatory.
- Familiarity with New Jersey e-courts is essential.
- The candidate should possess satisfactory knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a law office.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
