Job Title: Revenue Analyst

Job Responsibilities:
The Revenue Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the Revenue Manager in the oversight and enhancement of the law firm's revenue cycle. This encompasses a range of duties, including:

- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on key revenue metrics and backlog for assigned global practice groups. This requires applying professional skepticism and judgment to identify potential risks and recommend actionable items.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive reports to provide timely and effective information on the firm's backlog, enabling management to make informed business decisions.
- Offering actionable insights to firm management, partners, and other revenue departments to optimize revenue and minimize financial leakage.
- Conducting root cause analyses of adjustments to time accrued on matters and identifying opportunities for process improvements to prevent future issues.
- Using credit risk scoring tools, historical realization performances, fee structures, billing frequency requirements, and other criteria to assess the collectability of the backlog.
- Reviewing and following up on unassigned time and missing time balances to ensure that time is recoverable.
- Analyzing unapplied balances to determine appropriate treatment, collaborating with partners, billing, accounts receivable, or other revenue functions to address balances timely and accurately.
- Providing excellent customer service to attorneys, clients, and other firm personnel.
- Performing other duties as assigned or as dictated by judgment or necessity.

Education and Experience Information:
To be considered for the Revenue Analyst position, candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:

Required:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial and/or operational analysis.
- Experience in defining processes, conducting root cause analysis, and delivering process improvements.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint, OneNote, and Access.

Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a law firm or other professional services firm.
- Experience with Elite 3E.

Salary Information:
Salaries for the Revenue Analyst position vary by location and are determined based on several factors, including the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. The estimated salary range for this role, if located in Illinois, is between $77,000 and $88,000. The compensation package also includes bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits program.
