Job Title: Associate Director, Regulatory Affairs Advertising & Promotion - Immunology
Job Responsibilities:
The Associate Director, Regulatory Affairs US Advertising and Promotion is tasked with setting strategic directions and leading multidisciplinary therapeutic teams across various divisions. The role involves making operational decisions, planning workflows, and developing staff within the area of responsibility. The Associate Director is expected to maintain and evaluate productivity metrics to anticipate business needs and ensure effective communication with counterparts in Medical, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, and Public Affairs. Responsibilities also include managing departmental budgets, identifying trends and opportunities in the business environment, and operating independently while recognizing when to consult senior departmental members concerning risks. In the absence of the Director, this individual is responsible for day-to-day operations and departmental initiatives. The Associate Director is also tasked with encouraging innovation, mentoring, and recommending promotions for staff members based on performance. A solid understanding of regulations, guidance from regulatory authorities, and industry practices related to advertising and promotions is essential. The role also involves developing and delivering strategic presentations for senior management and leading initiatives for process and policy improvements.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for this position should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience in areas such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or biologics. An advanced degree is preferred, such as an MS, MPH, MSN, PA, DNP, PhD, PharmD, JD, or MD, along with 6 years of relevant industry experience. Certification is considered a plus. Experience in US Regulatory Affairs Advertising and Promotion is preferred, as well as experience working in a complex and matrix environment. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, along with experience in developing and implementing successful global regulatory strategies. Experience in a management capacity is also preferred.
Salary Information:
The compensation range for this role is between $137,500 and $261,000. The specific compensation offered to an individual will depend on various factors, including geographic location, and may ultimately be more or less than the posted range. The position also offers a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees. Additionally, the role is eligible for participation in short-term and long-term incentive programs. It is important to note that no amount of pay is considered wages or compensation until it is earned, vested, and determinable. The availability of bonuses, commissions, incentives, or any other form of compensation and benefits is at the company's discretion and may be modified consistent with applicable law.
