Paralegal - Real Estate and General Corporate Transactions The candidate will prepare of basic real estate documents for purchase, sale, and lending transactions for review and revision by supervising attorney. Coordinate recordation of deeds, mortgage and easements, covenants, and other related documents. Review title commitments and real estate surveys, prepare title exception letters. Review and prepare real estate of transaction documents. Prepare and monitor closing checklists. Review and prepare due diligence items. Search, prepare, and file UCC financing statements. Conduct basic legal and business research. Perform all necessary follow-up for all post-closing matters, including reviewing issued title policy, prepare final closing binders, and manage transmission of all original documents. Format and/or qualification, regulation, and maintenance of business, medical, professional, and not-for-profit corporations, limited liability companies, and other entities in Illinois, Delaware, and other states. Coordinate dissolutions/liquidations, reorganizations, mergers/ acquisitions, reinstatements, name changes/adoption of assumed names, and conversion of entities. Create and maintain Minute/Record Books. Degree in paralegal studies or paralegal certificate is required. Should have 2-5 years of real estate and general corporate transactional experience.
