Holland & Knight, one of the largest and most respected law firms in the world, is seeking Senior Conflicts Attorneys to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to have an immediate impact on our Firm and assist with new business intake while protecting our clients and the Firm from risk. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in conflicts of interest principles and a minimum of 10 years of legal experience, including 5 years specifically in identifying and clearing conflicts of interest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in establishing a full clearance process for conflicts of interest
- Process new client and matter intake for firm attorneys
- Conduct conflicts checks and review reports to identify potential conflicts
- Communicate with attorneys to resolve conflicts and obtain due diligence when necessary
- Draft waiver letters and advise on rules of professional conduct
- Monitor changes in ethics rules and case law
- Maintain ethical walls and legal screens as needed
- Special projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- 10+ years of legal experience, including 5+ years in conflicts of interest at a large law firm
- Knowledge of conflicts of interest principles under the Rules of Professional Conduct
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong research, computer, and database skills
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary based on location and experience: range of $130,200k - $244,200k/yr
