Job Title: Litigation Paralegal - Personal Injury
Job Responsibilities:
- Case Management: The paralegal will assist attorneys with managing a high-volume caseload from inception to resolution. This involves organizing and maintaining case files, ensuring all necessary documents are up-to-date, and tracking case progress.
- Client Interaction: Serve as a key point of contact for clients by providing updates, answering questions, and gathering necessary information. This role requires maintaining clear and effective communication with clients to ensure they are informed about their case status.
- Document Preparation: Responsibilities include drafting, proofreading, and filing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and subpoenas. Attention to detail is critical to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Scheduling: Responsible for scheduling depositions, trials, and other litigation-related appointments. The paralegal will assist attorneys in maintaining their calendars to ensure all deadlines and court dates are met.
- Trial Preparation: Organize and maintain case files, prepare trial exhibits, and coordinate witness schedules to support attorneys in trial readiness.
Education and Experience Information:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in personal injury litigation is required. This experience should include proficiency in legal research, document preparation, and familiarity with case management software.
- Skills: Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
