Job Title: Legislative Assistant - Transportation

Job Responsibilities:
- Support daily engagement with clients in the transportation, infrastructure, and technology sectors, ranging from traditional companies to innovative start-ups.
- Assist in crafting and executing complex legislative, regulatory, and political strategies to achieve federal policy goals.
- Arrange, coordinate, and conduct advocacy meetings with Members of Congress, staff, and other government officials under the supervision of Transportation Team leaders.
- Actively track key transportation, infrastructure, and technology policy issues for clients.
- Monitor Congressional committee meetings, agency hearings, and other proceedings as directed.
- Support the organization of fly-in events, including managing meeting requests, preparing materials, managing attendees, and coordinating event logistics.
- Prepare periodic reports on legislative, regulatory, and other governmental activity for internal use and for the benefit of Transportation Team clients.
- Provide legislative research services for the Transportation Team.
- Coordinate the production of other written materials for the Transportation Team.
- Undertake special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates should possess 1-3 years of public policy experience in the federal government or policy or government relations experience, with a desire to grow expertise in transportation, infrastructure, and technology.
- Strong and clear writing skills with the ability to learn complex legislative and regulatory issues are required.
- Strong legislative and regulatory research skills, including proficiency with Congressional and legislative databases, and a general resourcefulness to obtain or retrieve pertinent information, are essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with a wide variety of personalities encountered in governmental and political environments are necessary.
- The ability to meet competing deadlines in a dynamic work environment is important.
- Strong organizational ability is required.
- High proficiency in a computer network environment, especially with the Microsoft Office applications suite, is necessary.
- A is the minimum educational requirement.

Salary Information:
- The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $82,500 per year. An individual's actual compensation will depend on their qualifications and experience.
- In addition to the base compensation, the law firm provides bonus opportunities and an exceptional benefits package.
