**Members Only**, a global Am Law 50 law firm, is seeking a highly qualified Systems Security Engineer to support the firm during the night shift. This position offers a remote/hybrid work arrangement and can be based in any of the following . offices: Downtown Los Angeles, Century City, Orange County, San Diego, Del Mar, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Houston, Dallas, or Washington DC.

The Systems Security Engineer will work closely with the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to provide top-notch information security and data protection solutions to the firm. This role requires a strong background in information and network security, automation, scripting, and incident response, as well as excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor networked systems, investigate suspicious activity, and report findings to the Security Operations Manager
- Audit and assess security tools and systems, and script basic automation
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scanning, and stay up to date with the latest threats and technologies
- Collaborate with IT staff to integrate security measures into existing infrastructure and systems

Essential Functions:
- Configure and respond to security alerts
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding risk and security threats
- Design and implement security hardware and software systems
- Maintain detailed documentation of security processes and procedures

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in information technology and 3+ years in a security engineering/analyst role
- Experience with data loss prevention, security event and audit logs, and forensic investigations
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to data protection and privacy

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Information Assurance, or Cybersecurity preferred

Certifications (preferred):
- Security+, CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CEH, GCIH, GSEC

Work Environment:
- Hybrid work arrangement with the option to work from home
- Overtime may be required

Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 PM-3:30 AM (Pacific Time)

Salary: - per hour in California
