Job Title: Senior Business & Data Insight Analyst - (Flexible Schedule)
Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Data Insights Analyst at the law firm, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex data sets into actionable insights that facilitate informed business decisions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Translating information from various sources into impactful insights to guide business strategies and decision-making.
- Creating persuasive narratives, reports, and presentations to convey complex data to leadership and other stakeholders.
- Utilizing data visualization principles and tools to present insights in a visually impactful manner, aiding decision-makers in quick data interpretation.
- Collaborating with the Head of Strategic Insights, data scientists, and data analysts to advance predictive and prescriptive analytics.
- Working with cross-functional teams to create compelling data stories and develop strategic recommendations based on data insights.
- Designing, developing, deploying, and evolving internal dashboards, reports, and analyses to identify trends and opportunities across the firm’s client bases, geographies, industries, and practice areas.
- Developing analytics-driven solutions to solve business problems, understanding data set characteristics, and identifying patterns.
- Creating and maintaining dashboards and reports to monitor key business metrics.
- Analyzing large and complex data sets using statistical methods and data visualization tools.
- Continuously evaluating data sources and analysis methods to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Developing a solid understanding of key clients, their businesses, and the firm’s lawyer/client relationships.
- Conducting research using the firm’s billing and CRM systems, as well as external sources, to support analytic efforts.
- Assisting with ad hoc reporting and data analysis projects.
- Staying updated with industry trends and advancements in data science to enhance storytelling strategies.
- Collaborating with internal teams such as innovation, knowledge management, finance, strategy, client value, marketing, and others to address data analytics needs.
- Upholding standards, guidelines, and best practices for reporting and influencing analytics efforts across the firm.
- Documenting and maintaining a glossary of metric measurements used in reporting and business analytics tools.
- Mentoring and training junior analysts.
Education and Experience Information:
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as data science, statistics, communication, or marketing, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Required:
- Over 5 years of experience in data analysis, data visualization, and storytelling.
- Proven ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
Desired:
- Experience working in consulting, legal, or other professional environments that require continuous learning and communication of complex issues to business stakeholders.
Skills:
Proficient in:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Database querying using SQL
- Statistical analysis tools such as R or Python
- Data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
- Data analysis tools, including Excel
Familiarity with:
- Machine learning techniques
- Statistical modeling techniques
- Data visualization best practices
- Project management tools
- Data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
- Wireframing
- UI/UX best practices
- UAT processes

Salary Information:
The anticipated pay range for the position varies based on location and experience:
- Pittsburgh, Miami, Houston, Dallas: $99,000 - $124,000
- DC, Princeton: $114,000 - $142,000
- Chicago, Philadelphia: $106,000 - $133,000
