Job Title: eBilling Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
The eBilling Specialist plays a critical role within the eBilling Team at the law firm, which is dedicated to supporting the firm's electronically billed clients. The primary responsibilities include:
- Managing the submission of eBilled client invoices and escalating unresolved issues to the eBilling manager to ensure solutions are delivered.
- Identifying, researching, and troubleshooting rejected invoices for resolution and resubmission.
- Collaborating with the eBilling Manager and other billing specialists to resolve eBilling issues and ensuring proper setup of eBilled matters in the Aderant billing system for accurate invoice preparation.
- Working closely with the Collection Team to resolve client-reported eBilling issues and performing necessary follow-ups once issues are resolved.
- Submitting requests through eBilling vendor sites for accruals, appeals, budgets, and timekeeper approvals.
- Ensuring timely communication of eBilling rejections to appropriate internal team members and, if necessary, to the impacted attorney and legal practice assistant.
- Monitoring deduction notifications and forwarding them to billing specialists and legal practice assistants to obtain the attorney’s challenge response for filing appeals within the appropriate timeframe.
- Reporting eBilling status for specific clients and delivering reports as requested to management.
Education and Experience:
To qualify for the position of eBilling Specialist, candidates should meet the following educational and experience requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or a combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- A minimum of two (2) years of eBilling experience is required.
- Experience with eBilling within a law firm is preferred.
- Familiarity with BillBlast, eBilling Hub, and Aderant/CMS is preferred.

Candidates should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to enhance client experience.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
- Capability to produce high-volume, computerized document edits in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Outstanding customer/client service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and represent the department in a professional and positive manner.
- Proficiency in using Excel.
Salary Information:
The compensation for the eBilling Specialist position is dependent on several factors, including the position, location, education, training, and experience. The hiring salary range is between $50, and $70,.
