Job Title: Reporting Intelligence Manager - (Flexible Schedule)
Job Responsibilities:
The Reporting Intelligence Manager at the law firm leads the reporting arm of the Client Intelligence team, managing the intake, execution, and quality of cross-functional data requests. Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable self-service and automated reporting systems to meet growing demand, re-engineering reporting workflows, and developing standardized templates and processes to enhance efficiency and consistency. The manager audits and maintains internal reports and dashboards, creates and upholds reporting standards, and takes a proactive role in refining reporting outputs to ensure stakeholders receive strategic insights. Additionally, the role involves managing reporting and data request queues, partnering with internal business units to uncover analytics needs, supporting ad hoc reporting projects, maintaining expertise in the firm's data ecosystem, and developing and implementing training programs for analysts. The manager also mentors information and data analysts, develops an understanding of key clients and their businesses, and identifies recurring data needs to streamline responses and align reports strategically. Other duties include developing a consistent internal brand for reporting deliverables and performing additional tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Communication, Marketing, or a related discipline is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.
Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis and visualization, including at least 3 years of experience managing teams. Experience managing a high volume of reporting and analytics requests from cross-functional stakeholders is required. Desired experience includes working in consulting, legal, or other professional environments that require continuous learning and the ability to communicate complex issues to business stakeholders. Proven success in working with global, virtual teams and the ability to lead reporting efforts and scale processes in high-volume, fast-paced environments is essential.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, teaching, listening, and writing, are necessary. The ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, strong attention to detail, and commitment to data accuracy are required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects, with strong project management, organization, and conflict resolution skills. The role requires adaptability to changing priorities, the ability to learn and apply new technologies, and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively. Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive information, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to drive innovation and contribute to continuous improvement efforts are also important.
Technical Proficiency: Required proficiency includes Microsoft Office Suite, database querying using SQL, data visualization tools with a preference for Tableau, and data analysis tools including Excel.
Familiarity with Best Practices and Tools: Candidates should be familiar with data visualization best practices, project management tools, data warehouses (Snowflake preferred), wireframing, UI/UX best practices, and UAT processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities: The role includes supervisory responsibilities for Strategic Data Insights Senior Analyst(s) and Information Analyst(s).
Essential Job Functions: The position requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, intense eye usage, and hand dexterity associated with computer use. Proficient use of computers and telecommunication devices is necessary for managing development initiatives and effective communication. Candidates must have sufficient visual acuity for reading and interpreting documents and computer screens, the ability to hear and understand verbal communication, and the capability to convey information clearly. The role involves the ability to concentrate, think critically, exercise independent judgment, and adapt to changing work situations. High attention to detail, self-management of tasks and deadlines, and the ability to respond effectively to change are essential. The position may require travel for meetings and training, working long days, and working in the office as required.
Working Conditions: The position requires working in the office a minimum of 2 days per week and occasionally working hours in excess of the normal daily schedule. The weekly schedule details will be discussed with the direct supervisor.
Salary Information:
The anticipated salary range for the position varies based on location:
- Pittsburgh, Miami, Richmond, Denver, Atlanta, Texas Offices: $136,000 - $154,000
- Chicago, Philadelphia, Wilmington: $145,000 - $165,000
- Tysons, Princeton, .: $155,000 - $176,000
