Job Title: Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intake, collect essential information, and ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience as clients transition from prospective to active.
- Review and manage client files throughout the case to ensure documents and information are complete and organized.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates, answering non-legal questions, and coordinating communication with the legal team.
- Track client progress to keep key milestones and deadlines on schedule.
- Proactively identify and resolve delays or issues to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Collaborate with attorneys and team members to maintain high service standards.
- Assist with drafting, filing, and legal administrative tasks as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
- 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, with a preference for experience in probate law.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software, with Clio preferred.
Salary Information:
- Hourly rate based on experience.
