Job Title: Office Technology Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

The Office Technology Specialist is part of the Technology Office Operations team at the law firm. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the efficient deployment and use of office technology, including computers, printers, scanners, telephones, and other related devices. The specialist will assist service desk personnel and local Office Technology Managers (OTMs) in troubleshooting and maintaining desktop systems. Key responsibilities include:

- Utilizing a ticketing system to track customer reports related to hardware, software, telephone, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Daily use of the User Experience Monitoring application.
- Installing and configuring desktop, laptop, and telephone equipment according to the firm's installation templates or guidelines.
- Assisting HR and Facilities with ergonomic equipment setups.
- Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining PC peripheral equipment like printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
- Providing on-site technical assistance, including computer setup and breakdown, office moves, and technology equipment support.
- Participating in pilot groups and performing quality assurance of computer system builds, program deployments, and updates.
- Acting as first-line support for hardware and software problems and escalating issues as needed.
- Managing inventory databases for hardware and software moves, adds/changes, and tracking Change Forms for new hires, departures, support, and name changes.
- Being familiar with the law firm's software applications and preparing documents, statistical charts, graphs, and spreadsheets.
- Setting up and maintaining conference room audiovisual equipment.
- Setting up and supporting video conferencing and providing on-site technical support for off-site/remote trials or conferences.
- Troubleshooting and resolving wireless connectivity issues for internal and external customers.
- Supporting telephone programming and handset maintenance under OTM direction.
- Providing backup help desk and technical coverage when needed.
- Troubleshooting and coordinating hardware and software repairs with vendors.
- Performing all other duties as assigned or required.

Education and Experience Information:

Required:
- Availability to work overtime as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, iManage, and other firm applications after orientation.
- 2+ years of applicable and relevant technical experience.
- Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11.
- Working knowledge of MS-Office Suite from 2016 and higher.

Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2019.
- Basic networking architecture knowledge, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
- Prior experience in a law firm or professional services industry.
- Experience working in a smaller setting with diverse technology responsibilities.

Salary Information:

The law firm offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The expected hourly pay range for this position, based on a 40-hour work week, is between and , which equates to an annual salary range of $87, to $106,. The final offer amount will depend on the candidate's geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset.
