Job Responsibilities
The Family Law Paralegal at the law firm will have the following responsibilities:
- Drafting pleadings
- Preparing discovery
- Filing documents with the court
- Preparing trial exhibits
- Calendaring meetings and appointments
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Information
Candidates for the Family Law Paralegal position should meet the following education and experience requirements:
- A minimum of 2+ years of family law experience in Texas is required; however, 5+ years of experience is most preferred.
- Candidates should possess an Associate’s degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. In lieu of formal education, the law firm will accept 7+ years of exact experience in Texas.
- Excellent typing skills and computer literacy are required, including a solid understanding of MS Office and/or Google Suite applications.
- Proficiency with Clio and TxDoc or similar software is expected.
- Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in focusing on details, handling multiple tasks, and remaining highly organized.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- A professional demeanor and positive communication style are essential.
Salary Information
The Family Law Paralegal position at the law firm offers the following compensation and benefits:
- Competitive pay ranging from $40,000 to $80,000, based on years of experience.
- Hybrid work environment allowing for 1-2 days of remote work.
