Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant (Richmond Office) - Full Time

We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to work alongside a Partner in our vibrant Richmond office.
Job Duties:
- 5+ years of Personal Injury plaintiff experience
- Assisting attorneys with preparation for meetings, depositions, hearings, mediation, and trials
- Drafting correspondence, pleadings, and discovery answers
- Managing expert witness designations, motions, complaints, and subpoenas
- Redacting medical bills for trial use
- Scheduling trial-related meetings and calculating court deadlines
- Filing pleadings in state and federal courts
- Managing and auditing liens, including those associated with ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers compensation
- Working within a case management system
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Personal Injury plaintiff experience
- Experience conducting intake interviews with new clients
- Familiarity with liens, including those associated with ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers compensation
- Experience with complex, high-volume cases
- Familiarity with case management systems
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, with occasional standing and walking
- Visual capability to work on a computer monitor for extended periods
- Ability to work in an office environment around others
- Manual dexterity for using standard office equipment such as phones and keyboards
