Job Title: Business Development Manager
Job Responsibilities:
1. Identifies, develops, and recommends business strategies to attorneys to enhance existing client relationships in the energy and infrastructure-related sectors. Manages the development and implementation of new client expansion initiatives, drafts strategic plans, and conducts follow-up as needed.
2. Manages business development activities for the team, including drafting RFP responses and maintaining collateral marketing materials to enhance the brand. Reviews and provides recommendations for sponsorship and other business development activities as requested. Assists Team Heads in budgeting and managing business development expenses. Collaborates with the Research and Information Services staff and business development professionals on market intelligence initiatives on an "as needed" basis.
3. Leads the coordination and preparation of certain submissions for legal directories, including Chambers USA, Chambers Global Guides, and Legal500, among others.
4. Develops and maintains relevant information and document files, including correspondence, raw materials, and background data used in the creation of expressions of interest and proposals. Maintains a centralized depository for all marketing materials, existing and prospective clients, lawyer expertise, and client proposals, and organizes team business development activities.
Education and Experience Information:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects or processes is required, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
Other Qualifications:
- Travel may be required.
- Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines.
