Job responsibilities
The Sr. Corporate Counsel, Government Investigations & Litigation is a critical role within the legal organization at the company. This position involves working on advanced business and legal issues while crafting case strategies to uphold the company's Un-carrier promise. The primary responsibilities include:

- Managing internal and regulatory investigations efficiently with a focus on cybersecurity, IOT, network security, and consumer privacy.
- Leading the company's response to state and federal regulatory inquiries and any resulting litigation.
- Managing litigation proceedings and filings, which involves conducting internal fact investigations, preparing and filing pleadings with the assistance of outside counsel, handling discovery, reviewing legal briefs, and preparing cases for trial or settlement.
- Advising internal clients, including senior leaders, on legal and business risks.
- Collaborating with key business leaders and legal vendors to align legal strategies with business goals and objectives.
- Overseeing privileged investigations related to cyber and data security incidents.
- Monitoring new developments and emerging risks in cybersecurity, privacy, and consumer protection law, and assessing and communicating related legal risks.

Education and experience information
Candidates for the Sr. Corporate Counsel position must meet the following educational and experience requirements:

- Hold a . or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
- Be an active member in good standing of a relevant state bar.
- Have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in litigating complex, large-scale commercial and consumer litigation, and/or managing state and federal regulatory investigations and litigation.
- Preference is given to candidates with substantial experience and expertise in cybersecurity, privacy, and government investigations.
- Experience in a large law firm and in-house counsel is preferred.
- Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills and customer-oriented interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate excellent legal, business, and practical judgment.

Salary information
The base pay range for the Sr. Corporate Counsel role is between $144,100 and $260,000. The actual pay for a successful candidate will vary within this range based on factors such as work location, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, there is a corporate bonus target set at 20%. Employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance, which is a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings from the prior year.
