Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Open new files and organize them efficiently within the firm's system.
- Answer and transfer telephone calls to the appropriate staff member, ensuring smooth communication flow within the law firm.
- Manage incoming mail, deliveries, and faxes, ensuring that all communications are processed and directed appropriately.
- Maintain the firm's calendar, including creating entries for hearings, court events, and meetings to ensure that all dates and appointments are tracked accurately.
- Perform clerical tasks such as scanning, saving documents to electronic files, and data entry, which are essential for maintaining organized and accessible records.
- Assist with outgoing mail, packages, and certified mail to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of all correspondence and documents.
Education and Experience Information:
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe is required for efficient performance of the job duties.
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail are crucial for handling data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Prior experience in clerical or administrative roles is beneficial, providing a foundation for the responsibilities of the position.
