Job Responsibilities:
As a Financial Systems Business Analyst at the law firm, you will play a significant role in enhancing the financial business processes and related technology improvements. This dynamic position involves close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure business needs are clearly understood and effectively addressed. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the firm’s financial systems, which encompass billing, accounting, budgeting, procure-to-pay, and expense reporting, while working with IT and business teams on system integrations.
- Performing data validation, system testing, and analysis to resolve issues that may arise.
- Contributing to training and change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions.
- Handling requirements gathering, solution evaluation, test plan development, and collaboration with developers to drive business process improvements and technology solutions.
- Proposing innovative solutions that align with finance strategies and build trust with business leaders by leveraging creativity and analytics.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, accompanied by 1-3 years of relevant experience with large-scale financial systems, preferably Elite Enterprise or Elite 3E. Additional requirements include:
- Proven expertise in process improvement and finance business processes within global, multi-currency, and multi-jurisdictional professional services environments.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and keep leadership informed. Candidates should be able to engage across all levels of an organization.
- A proactive and results-driven approach, with a commitment to customer service excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with Elite 3E / Enterprise, and preferably Coupa. A strong interest in developing SQL and data analysis capabilities is also required.
Salary Information:
The base salary range for the Financial Systems Business Analyst position in Chicago is between $100,000 and $120,000. This range may vary based on geographic location and cost of living considerations.
