Transportation/Litigation Paralegal The candidate's responsibilities will include: Meeting with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects; Drafting correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and open record requests; Requesting, reviewing, and organizing medical and employment records; Cite checking of briefs utilizing Westlaw and Lexis research software; Performance of background checks and social media searches; Deposition and trial preparation with potential attendance at trials and hearings which may include travel; Daily timekeeping responsibilities in accordance with the billing guidelines of the firm and its clients; and Such other related duties as assigned. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills; Must have understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, e-filing, and other related matters; Should have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as a team member; Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and good judgment. Preferred candidates should have 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant and possess a paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program and/or a Bachelor's degree.
