Legal Administrative Assistant
Job Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for Legal Administrative Assistants during their absence.
- Perform reception duties and provide coverage for the Receptionist as needed.
- Assist assigned attorneys by preparing, revising, and proofreading legal documents.
- Schedule and calendar Court appearances and depositions.
- E-file documents with Federal and Florida State Courts.
- Handle attorney time entry and client billing.
- Prepare and submit new client business intake and conduct conflicts checks.
- Schedule attorney travel, appointments, and meetings.
- Update attorneys’ calendars and contact lists.
- Assist with Legal Administrative Assistant overflow work.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a legal administrative assistant with a focus on litigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with iManage or familiarity with a document management system is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on business needs.
- Strong team player skills.
- Strong technology skills with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
Salary Information
Actual salaries will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The salary range listed is just one component of the law firm’s total compensation package for employees. Other monetary rewards include annual discretionary bonuses based on performance and profit-sharing contributions based on eligibility and firm profitability.
