Job Title: Judicial Clerk III - Kamuela, Hawaii

Job Responsibilities:
The Judicial Clerk III position involves performing a variety of court clerical work in the preparation, processing, and maintenance of court records within a division of the Circuit, District, Family, Land/Tax Appeal, or Appellate Courts. The role includes examining, preparing, and processing legal forms and documents. Additional responsibilities may include other related duties as required by the court.

Education and Experience Information:
- Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Alternatively, excess experience or work requiring the ability to read, comprehend, and apply written directions or a high degree of verbal skill may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
- General Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of general clerical work experience is required.
- Specialized Experience: At least six (6) months of experience in a court, legal, criminal justice, law enforcement, or corrections setting, which includes the examining, preparation, and/or processing of legal forms and documents.
- Skill Requirement: Applicants must possess the ability to type 40 net words per minute. Proficiency may be evaluated by the appointing authority, and failure to meet this requirement may result in suspension of eligibility.

Substitutions Allowed:
1. Education may be substituted for general experience on the basis of 15 semester credits for six (6) months of General Experience, up to a maximum of two (2) years.
2. For specialized experience, education in a paralegal, legal studies, law program, or a closely related field may be substituted on the basis of fifteen (15) semester credits for six (6) months of experience, up to a maximum of one (1) year.
3. Graduation with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a closely related field may be substituted for one (1) year of Specialized Experience.

Qualification for Firearms (Lautenberg): For certain positions, applicants must be qualified to possess firearms or ammunition in accordance with state and federal laws, which includes having no misdemeanor or felony domestic violence conviction.

Salary Information:
The position offers a salary of $3, monthly.
