Position Summary
We are seeking a self-motivated and organized Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Paralegal to join our team in New York City. In this role, you will support several attorneys in the practice group by reviewing and processing legal documents and assisting with litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Format and draft legal documents, including creating table of authorities and/or table of contents
- Monitor and update attorney and docket calendars
- File legal documents with electronic court filing systems
- Prepare and organize documents and binders for trial, including exhibits
- Maintain electronic directories and filing systems
- Prepare and send out transmittal letters
- Save, print, scan, and file all transmittal documents
- Assist with delivery requests when necessary
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably with Intellectual Property (IP)
- Accurate typing speed of 65+ wpm
- General office and computer experience
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Reliable attendance
- Experience with editing, revising and drafting legal documents
- Knowledge of local, state and federal court rules
- Working knowledge of Pacer Systems, ECF, and ITC Proceedings Systems
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to complete projects with little direction
- Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work products
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Experience with document management systems such as ProLaw and iManage
Salary Information
The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000/year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
