Job Title: Litigation Paralegal - Experience Required
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Paralegal at the law firm will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the discovery process in legal cases. The primary duties include drafting, responding to, and filing discovery requests, as well as preparing and filing discovery responses. The paralegal will review discovery requests and responsive documents, track incoming discovery, and draft good faith correspondence. Additionally, the role involves drafting discovery motions to compel, pulling case law, and assisting with creating hearing notebooks for legal proceedings. The paralegal will also review hearing transcripts and draft responsive court orders.
Education and Experience Information:
A Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate is preferred for candidates applying for this position. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of legal documents, court filings, and legal procedures. Previous experience with the Florida E-Filing Portal and the Judicial Automated Workflow System (JAWS) is required. A solid understanding of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure is essential. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining strong attention to detail, and have a willingness to adapt and learn new skills. The position requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with basic knowledge of Westlaw, which is considered a plus. Candidates should also possess excellent editing, proofreading, and research skills, with a writing sample required as part of the application process. Advanced proficiency in MS Office is expected, as well as a sense of urgency regarding deadlines. The candidate should be self-motivated.
Salary Information:
The salary for the Litigation Paralegal position at the law firm ranges from to per hour, as provided by the employer. The median salary is noted as per hour. This is a full-time position with an expected 40-hour work week.

Schedule and Location:
The position requires working an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday. The work location is in person, and the candidate must have the ability to commute to Tampa, FL 33618. Additionally, the candidate must be able to relocate to Tampa, FL 33618 before starting work.
