Job Title: Servicing Litigation Specialist II
Job Responsibilities:
The Servicing Litigation Specialist II is tasked with managing key metrics related to servicing litigation, which includes contested foreclosure matters, title matters, and mediation. The primary responsibilities include:
- Managing, monitoring, and tracking litigated files, including contested, title, mediated, and bankruptcy proceedings.
- Evaluating reports and researching risk and potential risk of legal documentation.
- Supporting in-house counsel on research projects regarding servicing issues and pre-litigation customer disputes.
- Receiving lawsuits and formulating strategies with attorneys.
- Potentially attending hearings such as mediation, trials, settlement conferences, and depositions to present and defend the company's position.
- Performing other related duties as required and assigned.
- Demonstrating behaviors aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
- Knowledge of legal pleadings and the ability to review and decipher allegations and issues.
- Understanding of the legal process and procedures is essential.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with Loan Sphere and other mortgage servicing systems is required.
Salary Information:
The salary for the Servicing Litigation Specialist II position ranges from $45,000 to $66,000. The individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including the specific role, geographic location, market data, skills, and experience. The salary range is categorized as follows:
- Lower in range: Building skills and experience in the role.
- Mid-range: Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role.
- Higher in range: Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role.
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
Work Model:
This job is 100% in-office and not remote, located in Moorpark, California.
